Welcome to the City of Live Oak

We are open for business and are here to serve you whether you are just visiting or considering our city your final destination.

We are strategically located in beautiful Suwannee County on Interstate 10, within short driving distances of several metropolitan centers. You can live in a caring community with a small town atmosphere and still take advantage of our proximity to these larger cities.

Heritage Park is a beautiful and historic home site located within the city. Its carefully manicured grounds offer a pastoral setting where one can enjoy a respite from the hurriedness of life. Friends of the Park host weddings and other events of interest and enjoyment.

Heritage Square is Live Oak’s newest and most exciting Community Redevelopment Agency project. Located in the heart of the city, Heritage Square contains historic structures, greenspace and vacant parcels to be developed. A master plan has been adopted with a vision to implement strategies to revitalize this area.

Live Oak’s schools, medical community, financial institutions and businesses offer first rate service. We have some of the finest first responders and public safety personnel in the country. Our civic clubs and groups, churches, and organizations are helpful and welcoming.

The Suwannee County-Live Oak Recreation Department maintains first class recreational facilities for all to enjoy. Suwannee County is rich in natural resources, boasting some of the best natural springs in the world. The famous and historic Suwannee River meanders through north Florida forming the western boundary of the county.

Live Oak is also home to the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park situated on the banks of the Suwannee River. The 800 acre Park hosts several large concert events throughout the year including the popular Suwannee River Jam.

Please stop by City Hall at 101 White Avenue SE while here. Our employees and public officials would consider it an honor to serve you during your visit.

Sincerely,
Frank C. Davis, Mayor
