Land Development Regulations

The City of Live Oak seeks to promote and facilitate development and redevelopment within the City Limits, while at the same time recognizing that there are Land Development Regulations and a Comprehensive Plan, as required by Florida Statute, that all businesses, developments, and property owners must stay consistent with.

While each parcel of property and personal situation may be different, the cohesive, common denominator that plays an equitable part in each case are these very same Regulations and Plans that we must follow.

There are also general Code of Ordinances that have been adopted pertaining to certain: activities, establishments, uses, and structures said text which is not found in the LDR. The non-LDR general Code of Ordinances is available at municode.com under the library for Live Oak, Florida.

Other copies of certain ordinances are also found on the City website under Planning and Zoning; Commercial / Residential Development Review and Approval

To access the Land Development Regulations:

PDF’s are posted below of the most recent codification.

Various other non-LDR Ordinances are also found below, however, this is not a comprehensive list of all which may apply in your situation. Ordinance No. 1348 is now in effect and completely replaced all previous ordinances pertaining to Alcohol Sales, Service, and Consumption.

To confirm any special Code, LDR or Zoning requirements which may pertain to your proposal, please contact the Development Manager to schedule a Pre-Development Meeting to go over all the code requirements which may apply to your proposed development.
